As an impartial officer of the courts charged with the task of realizing the fruits of judgment, the role of the sheriff, deputy sheriffs and office staff are often underestimated and misunderstood.
Sheriffs and their staff play a very important role as a vital interface between the Justice system and the public. Sheriffs, deputy sheriffs and office staff members are the face of the Civil Justice system. It would be impossible to secure the attendance of defendants in court or have the decisions and orders enforced, and without sheriffs the adjudication process would be incomplete and the rule of law unimaginable.
